Fibre optic cabling in Great Shelford
Great Shelford is an affluent South Cambridgeshire village with high expectations for home technology, and professionally installed fibre optic cabling is increasingly the standard here.
The village has a mix of large detached homes - some Victorian, many from the mid-to-late twentieth century, and a number of more recent executive builds. Properties of this size often have multiple rooms that need a reliable wired connection: home offices, media rooms, garden offices, and occasionally outbuildings converted for professional use. Fibre optic cabling handles these multi-point setups cleanly, with runs from a central distribution point to each location.
We plan the installation around how you actually use the building, rather than fitting a generic layout that leaves some rooms underserved. Talk to us about your property in Great Shelford and we will put together a plan that suits it.
What you get
- A look at the building before we quote, so the figure is based on what is actually there.
- A free written quote, with what is included and what is not.
- Work planned around the people using the building.
- A walk-through at handover and the documents for what was installed.
What is not included
Written down on the quote, so nothing on this list turns up later as a surprise.
- The internet line itself. That stays with your broadband or leased line provider, and we work with whatever you have.
- Building work such as new ceilings or redecorating. If a cable route needs it, the quote says so.
- Day-to-day support for your computers and laptops. That is your IT provider's job, and we are happy to work alongside them.
